Colorado (USA)

One could be forgiven for thinking that life must pass by at a leisurely pace in a state such as Colorado that has such a strong bond with nature. This perception is quite wrong: casinos, theatres, and Wild West shows are just a few of the many possibilities available to revellers.

The entertainment programme is almost inexhaustible. However, until recently one would not have been too far from the truth with the idea of a place with strong ties to nature, a not particularly exciting part of the world, but since the start of the 90's the entertainment possibilities in Colorado have experienced a remarkable upturn, not least of which has been the establishment of countless good restaurants offering all possible specialities. The number of bars has even earned Denver the nickname of 'Bar Capital of the World'.
The theatre and music scenes of the capital are of world-class quality, as is its zoo, which counts among the best in the country. Those who have the opportunity to attend an event in the Red Rocks Amphitheatre should seize the chance to do so; the famous concert hall was built into red sandstone rocks that soar into the sky. However, there is also much to experience in other cities, from concerts and theatre performances all the way to rodeos. In addition, special events take place almost all year round at various locations, such as the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo in Denver in January, the largest cattle fair in the world, or the well-known Colorado Shakespeare Festival in Boulder in the summer.
